The quote from st augustine is great.. however a little narrow minded considering it’s an over 1500yr old quote. Travelling 100km probably seemed like a massive journey for him. Coupled with the lack of communications, internet, magazines, migration patterns of people etc.
We get much more worldly exposure through all of the above than they could’ve ever dreamed of back then. (The multiculturalism side in particular).
